Effect of Acalypha wilkesiana on Oxidative Stress and Histopathology of Liver and Kidney in Alloxan-induced Diabetic Albino Rats

This study investigated the effect of Acalypha wilkesiana on oxidative stress biomarkers as well liver and kidney histopathology. 54 Albino rats were divided into 6 groups 9 animals each including group 1 received only feed water ad libitum; 2 160mg/kg alloxan by intraperitoneal route; 3 0.07mg/kg glibenclamide follow induction, while in 4, 5 six aqueous leaf extract at doses 100mg/kg, 200mg/kg 400mg/kg following induction.
